Kitchen gadgets are getting so high tech, they can even grow meat! Wow, talk about hello Star Wars, Star Trek and Jetsons mashed into one. The winner of this years Electrolux Design Lab 2009 contest goes to the "Cocoon", pictured above. Congratulations to Swedish design student Rickard Hederstierna from Lund Institute of Technology in Sweden is the winner of the Electrolux Design Lab 2009 competition for inventing “Cocoon”, the meat and fish maker. The winner gets a grand prize of € 5000 and a six-month paid internship at one of Electrolux global design centers.
The second place went to a product called, "Water Catcher." I think it looks rather cool and the first water catcher I have seen was in Australia and it didn't fly. Take a look at the pic below.
