Shaped like the traditional hourglass, this fine gadget is Digital! Simply turn it around to switch from timer to clock. I really like how we are nostalgic and keep the shape designs of the past...maybe we should have kept CD/DVDs in their original shape as well. This is a nifty kitchen gadget to have and most of the reviews I have read on the internet have mostly been positive, other than a few technically challenged folks that couldn't figure it out. Then again, it is easier to use than a TV remote control in my experiences. It stands 5 inches tall and is easy to read and has more functions than any sand hourglass that I have used in the past.
