Do you use your knives to smash out the garlic you need still? How about rolling a wheel to chop your garlic? Great concept and it keeps things cleaner as well, this is why I enjoy using this "handy" lil gadget. This takes care of the lingering smell that garlic can leave behind as well. Just open the top, pop the peeled garlic in and roll... then open and dispense the garlic. Easy as that! When using knives, the garlic odor can stay on your hands after chopping them for hours. Using this cool garlic gadget will reduce the smell by reducing your contact with the garlic, unless you are trying to avoid the vampires in your neighborhood. Makes a great gift for that friend that always smells like garlic, maybe they will get more dates after you give them this gadget.
How to Get Rid of Garlic Smell on Fingers
Ok, so until you get your "hands" on this cool gadget, here are some quick tips to get rid of or even prevent the garlic smell from your fingers.
- Put on a kitchen glove: Great to use when handling items that makes you
stink. Also very sanitary, but not too earth friendly. - Rub your hands with a stainless steel spoon or other "safe" kitchen gadget. I have heard running it under water works in combination with rubbing on a stainless steel item.
- Rub some salt or baking soda on hands. Rinse hands clean. (works with the onion smell also)
- Use toothpaste or mouthwash on hands- rub hands together, and don't forget to rinse!
- Use a Garlic Chopper Gadget! Duh! =P
